Area and Initial Planning
We have chosen a tech start-up called EnergyWare which can be described as an “alternate energy source installation company”. It is a passive website which gives information about the company: the various sources it provides, contact information etc.
Technologies Used
HTML
HyperText Markup Language (HTML) is the standard markup language used to create web pages. The text and images in the website were added using HTML.
CSS
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) describes how HTML elements are to be displayed on screen, paper, or in the other media.
Javascript
Javascript is a high-level, dynamic, untyped, and interpreted programming language. It was used to add the slideshow on the main page and the parallax sliding on the services page.
Jotform
The “Free Consultation” form was created using the free service “Jotform” and embedded in the website using javascript.
Notepad++
All the coding for the website was written using Notepad++.
Atspace
The website was hosted for free on atspace.
The learning
The languages were learnt through tutorials on tutorialspoint.com and YouTube.
The parallax sliding mechanism was learnt through 1stwebdesigner.com
The basic structure of the website was understood by seeing various start-up websites like omnipresenttech.com and templates through wix.com.
The Website
The website is divided into three pages:• The Home page gives the overview of the company. It contains a slideshow of the various services the company provides and the hyperlinks to the other pages.

• The Services page provides information about the various energy services the company provides for installation at your home. It contains parallax sliding, where you can slide to another section of the webpage by clicking an icon on the navigation bar.

• The Contact page, where you can book a consultation with the company by filling out a form.
